Project A.N.G.E.L. (Area Neighbors Giving Extra Love) of Hendricks County strives to gather local voluntary resources to assist families in need at Christmas time and throughout the year.  The orgaization's name itself comes from the Greek word "angelos" meaning "messenger".  Project A.N.G.E.L. is a messenger of the Treat People Beetter philosophy through its tireless dedication to others.  It strives to reach out and touch all citizens of Hendricks County, as well as help others give of themselves.  Throughout each holiday season, the hundreds of group volunteers help bring toys, clothing and food to families in need.  In 2005 alone, nearly 200 Hendricks County families benefited from their efforts.  For over 25 years, Project A.N.G.E.L. has focused on improving the lives of the community and helping all children realize the miracle of Christmas.  While they may not have wings and a halo, these generous do-gooders are truly angels here in our own community.

This award is displayed in the lobby at the Washington Township Government Center.  (311 Production Drive in Avon)  Stop in and see it sometime.  It belongs to all the volunteers that make Project A.N.G.E.L. possible.
